MANSFIELD - Rhonda Gail Phillips, 65, of Mansfield passed away at 3:52 p.m. Friday (Aug. 29, 2025) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 106 N. Main St., Farmer City, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jie Wu Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Township Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of First Mid Bank & Trust, 1 Jefferson St., Mansfield, IL 61854.
Rhonda was born on Aug. 15, 1960, in Champaign, a daughter of Clifford Andrew and Reita Gail (Stover) Cochran. She married Gary Phillips on July 25, 1987, in Mansfield. He passed away Jan. 29, 2023.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tiffany Gail (Benjamin) Joyner of Rantoul and Whitney Elaine Phillips of Mansfield; two granddaughters, Thea Rayne Phillips and River Elaine Joyner; her father, Clifford Andrew Cochran of Mansfield; brother Ronald (Debbie) Cochran of Mansfield; aunt, Regeanna Jean, and her daughter, Jamey of Saybrook; and uncles, Randy and Gene Stover.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Phillips, whom she dearly loved; mother, Reita Gail Cochran; and brother Richard Gene Cochran.
Rhonda was a loving wife, mother and amazing grandmother to her girls. Her granddaughters were her world, and she will forever be missed.
To the woman who has sacrificed a lot throughout her life, we hope you are finally pain-free and at peace with Daddy, watching over all of your girls. We love you so much, forever and always.
