Hope Smith

October 20, 1949 - July 4, 2025

Hope Smith, 75 years old, born in Beulah, North Dakota to Reinhold and Erna Reich, passed away in the early morning of July 4, 2025. Hope was born into a large German family with several siblings. Lilavon Herman, Russell Reigh, Theophil Reich, Marva Lou Kovalenko, Hilmer Reich, and Virginia Scheurer. Hope was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and coworker, with over 30 years of service at Liberty University, with most of that service working in the Biology and Chemistry Department. She is survived by her son, Randall Smith, her daughter, Amanda Mayberry, her nieces, Madison and Charlie Smith, and her sister, Virginia Scheurer. Anyone who wishes to join us for Hope's Memorial is welcome to join us on Saturday, July 19, 11 am at Serenity Funeral Home at 126 Gilmer Ave, NW, Roanoke, Virginia.
