Christine Gunther (Joe). Cherished grandfather of Danielle, Jacqueline Brusca (Charles), Gregory (Amanda), Jennifer, Joseph, and Elizabeth. Adoring great-grandfather of Clarissa Rose. Dominic was a beloved teacher and coach at Walt Whitman High School, where he worked for over 30 years. Private Services are entrusted to M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, NY.

Absolutely wonderful person. Mr. Savarese was my homeroom teacher. Kind and always fun, Mr. Savarese loved kids.
Sorry I never had him as a teacher.

I´m a 1979 graduate of Walt Whitman High School and I remember Mr Savarese well. Always a kind man even though I was horrible in science. He made it interesting even if I didn´t understand a lot of it. I´m sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.
