Daryl Eugene Sturgeon, 67, of Connersville passed away late Friday evening, July 11, 2025, at Franciscan Health, Indianapolis.
One of three boys of Loren E. and Rosann M. Jinks Sturgeon, Daryl was born in Connersville on July 16, 1957, and graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1976.
Daryl served his country in the United States Air Force for six years, receiving his honorable discharge in 1986 having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
On July 1, 1998, Daryl married the former Nancy Des Combs in Tennessee. Mrs. Sturgeon survives.
Daryl was employed at SAPA Extrusions in Connersville for many years, retiring in 2022.
In his leisure time, Daryl enjoyed watching sports, especially Indiana University Hoosiers and Cincinnatti Bengals, keeping up on world news and politics, and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife of 27 years, Nancy, survivors include two step-sons, Brian and Kenneth Des Combs of Connersville; two brothers, Larry E. (Kathy) Sturgeon of Liberty and Randy (Mary) Sturgeon of Connersville; three nieces, Janel Sturgeon, Gina Johnson, and Michele Bowling; and one nephew, Kile Sturgeon.
Daryl was preceded in death by his parents.
No services have been planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Connersville Amvets, 1413 N. Eastern Ave. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I didn´t really know Daryl in the later years. But I do remember him helping me in the boy scouts. I always remember him doing this.
