Connie Brammer Greene

July 7, 1945 - June 27, 2025

Chula Vista, California - Connie Brammer Greene, 79, of Chula Vista, CA, died peacefully at home on June 27, 2025, after a long illness.

Born in St. Marys West Virginia, Connie was the second eldest of eight siblings. An older brother, Benjamin, died in 1980. She is survived by Richard Brammer of Huntington, WV; Regina Macher of Brockport, NY; Kathy Sherk of Durham, NC; Martha Conway of Berea, OH; Jody Brammer of Worcester, MA and Elizabeth Bibb of Durham.

Connie and her husband Dennis shared nearly 60 years of marriage. She is also survived by their three sons: Adam (with Stacie) of San Diego, Jake (with Leah) of Raleigh, and Matthew (with Jean) of Boston; and grandson Ian of Durham.

An accomplished chef and co-owner of the catering business Smart Cookies in Raleigh, NC, Connie was known for her enthusiasm for hosting fundraising events. Her love for life extended beyond the kitchens, enjoying sailing, tennis, hiking, and traveling. She dedicated many hours as a volunteer at the San Diego Zoo and contributed her time to many theatre, museum, and symphony boards.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Hospice.

It´s hard to navigate through loosing your oldest sister. Connie was our model and best example of how to dress, do your makeup, and most of all respect for yourself and others. My heart is broken but my memories with her help. Rest easy sis. I love you
