Dalton Ausley Obituary

Dalton Moore Ausley

September 7, 2003 - August 8, 2025

Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina - Dalton Moore Ausley, age 21, of Fuquay-Varina, beloved son of Marty and Kay Ausley, and loving mother Wanda Ann Beasley passed away Friday August 8, 2025. Dalton attended LaFayette Elementary School, Harnett Central Middle School, and Harnett Central High School where he was an outstanding catcher for the Trojans Baseball Team. He furthered his education and continued his baseball career at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Dalton was a member of Baptist Grove Baptist Church where he participated in many youth group activities. He was dedicated to farming, working closely with his dad by his side at Ausley Farms, and most days he could be found running his dozer, or excavator. When not running equipment, he could be found cutting and baling hay and would work from sunup to sundown if needed to make sure all was baled and put up. His strong work ethic stood out as one of his greatest characteristics.

Dalton had a special love for baseball, hunting, and anything outdoors. He was known for his big heart, willingness to always help others, and always had a smile on his face. His greatest love was his love for God, family, friends and his dogs, Remington and Nash. Any time he could spend with them was his greatest blessing. Anyone that knew Dalton knew that he was only a phone call away and would be right there with a helping hand.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his sissy, RaeAnn Leigh Coats, stepsisters Autumn Tobias and Lauren Hamilton. He is also survived by nieces, Payten Mitchell, Callie Hamilton and nephews River Tobias and Avery James. Aunts Patricia (Frank) Koontz and Debby (G.W.) Mann and Uncles Ronnie Ray (Rebecca) Beasley and "sissy daddy" Adam Joseph Coats. Grandparents Danny Owen Johnson (Pa) and wife Kim F. Johnson.

Dalton was preceded in death by his Grandparents Margaret McCall Johnson (Mema), William Roland Beasley, Willie Mae McDonald Ausley (Nanny), and Percy Moore Ausley (Papa Percy).

Dalton knew what he wanted to be as he was just that a farmer as his dad was. I considered Dalton a friend a neighbor. I remember he had a beef calf that got out one night and he couldn´t find it. He and I spent hours out in the field looking for his calf. Finally found the calf and brought it back home. We talked quite a bit about everything. No surprise his video games were of farming. I remember him excited when we got snow he would climb into a grader and clear the roads with his dad. I buy my hay from Marty and Dalton. His dogs Remington and Nash strange dogs they would chase after rocks we would joke they needed a dental plan. Dalton will be missed by many people. My heart thoughts and prayers go out to his family, girlfriend and friends that got to share even ten minutes in Daltons life it was a blessing.
