Jeffrey L. Southwood

Jeffrey Lynn Southwood, 69, of Staunton, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.

Jeff was born in Washington, D.C., on September 6, 1955. He was a son of the late Roy and Angela Carlson. Jeff thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, in work and in leisure. Farm and garden work were true pleasures to him. He also enjoyed following sports, especially football and basketball.

Jeff is survived by three siblings, Gail Coleen Hanger and husband, Philip, Andrea Kathleen Allen and husband, Robert, and Kenneth Henning Carlson and wife, Ok Kyung So; aunt and uncle, Sandra Gail and Bradford McNeill; nieces and nephews, Abigail Hanger, Elizabeth Hanger Miller and husband, Thad, Paul Hanger, Hanna Carlson and husband, Nathaniel Stone, Grace Carlson, Faith Carlson, and Hope Carlson; and cousin, Michael McNeill.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date.
