Barbara Barber Obituary
Barbara A. Barber of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025. She was the wife of the late Edward Barber.
Barbara was born in New Haven on August 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Carmel Monaco Iuteri. She was the loving mother of Scott (Leslie) Morcaldi and Kristin (Mike) Elkins and grandmother of Evan Elkins. Barbara was the sister of Edward (Martha) Iuteri and the late Dolores Iuteri, Joseph Iuteri, and Anna Iuteri. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Although Barbara retired to Florida many years ago, she always practiced her Catholic faith, made new friends along the way, loved playing tennis, and always remained connected to her New Haven roots.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church. Scott, Kristin and family, I'm so sorry to be reading of your mother passing. We were friends since school and kept in touch when I was living in FL..She and Ed came to my house often. Sorry I wasn't able to attend the service and would like to send my condolences to all. Last time I saw Barbara was at her sister Doloras' service.
