Barbara "Barbie" Dalton Dressler, 69, of Rixeyville, Virginia and formally of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She was a devoted mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and cherished friend whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Born on August 20, 1955 in Pearisburg, Virginia, Barbie grew up with a zest for life and a heart full of compassion. Raised as a Baptist in Front Royal, she was the daughter of Albert Williams and Dorma Robinson and grew up alongside her seven siblings, Albert Williams, Charley Williams, Debra Garcia, Gary Williams, Patricia Mills, Michael Williams, and Regina Presgraves.
Barbie had a diverse career, from caring for loved ones to waiting tables, cooking, bartending, and driving tractor-trailers. She married her loving husband, Donald Wayne Dressler, on July 4, 2003. Barbie was known for her generous spirit and love for family and friends. She found joy in spending time with her family, and her home was a haven of love where family and friends gathered to share meals, stories, and her endless warmth. Her homemade chicken was a family favorite and her advice was always given with love. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her husband, Donald Wayne Dressler; her children, April Crafton, Roy Dalton, Jon Dalton, Crystal Dressler, Donald Dressler, Andrew Dressler, and James Dressler; her 33 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Albert Williams, Debra Garcia, Gary Williams, and Michael Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Williams and Dorma Robinson; and her siblings, Charley Williams, Patricia Mills, and Regina Presgraves. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates - Proverbs 31:31 A Celebration of Life will be held at the Front Royal Moose on July 20, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Come celebrate how she touched each of our hearts.
