Catherine Mishler Obituary


Catherine Ferne Yoder Mishler, 91, formerly of Rileyville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Hidden Springs Senior Living in Bentonville, VA.

She was born on January 17, 1934, in Davidsville, PA, and was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Edna Yoder.

Catherine was a member of Grace Mennonite Fellowship in Lacey Spring, VA. She served as an intake officer at Page One in Luray, VA for 43 years.

On June 24, 1954, she married Paul Mishler, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Chrisann Mishler of Front Royal, VA, Shelby Echard (Don) of Scottdale, PA, Linwood Mishler (Sue) of Leesburg, VA, Bonita Seely (John) of Rileyville, VA, and Britinie Fitzwater (David) of Luray, VA; a brother, Lauren Yoder (Sheri) of Hendersonville, NC; three grandchildren, Zachary Seely (Kelly) of Luray, VA, Alyssa Smith (Mikey) of Bunker Hill, WV, and Brendan Fitzwater of Luray, VA; and two great-grandchildren, Wilder and Ledger Seely.

The family will receive family and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 13, at the Bradley Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Rileyville Gospel Church by Don Echard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Page One, 42 West Main St., Luray, VA 22835 or a charity of choice.

We went to Grace Mennonite with Paul and Catherine. They were very special people. We never came by their house on 340 in Rileyville that we did not think of them. Our love and prayers to Paul and the family.
