Gary Arehart Obituary
Gary Amos Arehart, 78, 0f Woodstock, Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born January 2, 1947, in the Shenandoah Valley and grew up in New Market, Virginia. He was the son of the late Berlin and Vivian Arehart, and a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School.
Gary was preceded in death by his son, Alan Carrick Arehart. Surviving are his children: Andy Arehart, Anya Ludolf (John), Adam Arehart (Angela); six grandchildren: Mitchell Ludolf, Damien Lior, Alexander Arehart, Joshua Ludolf, Ava Arehart, and Miller Arehart-Firth.
He is also survived by his brother, Alan Sidney Arehart, his niece and nephews, Kristina Walker (Brett), Kevin Arehart, and Bryan Arehart.
A visitation will be held at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway on Sunday, August 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will take place Monday, August 4, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's Cemetery in New Market.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodstock Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 221, Woodstock, VA 22664.

Gary hard to believe you are gone ole friend. I remember all too well when we both lived on Main Street there in NM and Mr. Zirkle had the little store next to your home. We were on school together all those years and friends...... Where has all the years gone. We´ll meet again ole friend , till then say hello to all our other friends who has made the journey. Till Valhalla my friend.....
