Alison Harkins Obituary

Alison Harkins
Alison Harkins, 59, of Lakewood, IL, formerly of Mesa, AZ and originally from Reading, England, passed away on the evening of July 9, 2025.
Beloved wife of Charles Volstorff. Devoted mother to daughter Lexi. Cherished daughter of Jean and the late Peter Pegler. Dear sister of Sarah (Mark) Bowser.
Alison was born in Reading, England, but spent most of her childhood in Mesa, Arizona, and attended law school at the University of Arizona. She moved to Chicago shortly after graduating. She loved cooking, was a voracious reader, enjoyed the Chicago Botanical Garden, fashion and home decor. Alison served on the Board of JourneyCare Hospice from 2010-2014. She was an experienced and accomplished data privacy attorney. Perhaps her favorite role was as parent to her beautiful daughter. Alison was a passionate "Golf Mom," and supported her daughter in her pursuit of golf excellence at tournaments around the world.
Beloved friend to many, Alison will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
