Mary Patricia "Patti" Killeen was born March 28, 1956, in Harvard, Illinois to John and Anita (Williamson) Killeen. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 21, 2025, in Belvidere, Illinois at Symphony Northwoods.
She was a long-time resident of Harvard, where she found joy in the simple beauty of everyday life. With a camera always close at hand, she loved driving through the countryside, capturing barns, clouds and any fleeting moment that caught her eye. An avid gardener, she found peace among her plants and never passed a flower without pausing to admire its beauty. Her appreciation for nature and eye for detail were gifts she shared freely with those around her.
She was a loving and devoted mother, survived by her 4 children: Denise (Jason) Hinderliter of Woodstock, Mary Ann (Delt) Warren of Dekalb, Dan Killeen of Beloit, WI, and Andy (Teri) Kolls of Harvard. She was a proud grandmother- "Meme"- to Sabrina (Jacob) Hunley, Tyler, Lauren, John, Audrey, Anna, Cyrus, Owen, Kellan, and Landon. She was also a cherished great grandmother to Jamison and Sophia
She is also survived by her loving siblings: Anita (Brian) Borgen, John (Kate) Killeen, Debbie (Mark) Wegelin, Judy (Tony) McMillan, Pam Beinder, Dan (Catherine) Killeen, and Tim (Lucy) Killeen and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Anita Killeen.
A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 to 4:00pm of Sunday June 29, 2025, at The Harvard Sportsmans Club, 21226 US Highway 14, Harvard, Illinois 60033.

Patti and I took short trips to take pictures, my sons had both helped her with her computer and cameras! We laughed a lot and went out to eat from time to time. I feel sad she is gone so soon. She spoke of how much she loved her kids and grandchildren. God Bless you Patti

Patti, was a long time friend. We spent hours on the phone.. Patti was certainly an artist with the camera. After I sold my Poplar Grove home and moved to Texas. She was always hoping to make the trip. Patti and I spoke of the Lord, heaven and what we thought we would see when we arrived there. Now she has seen it all, and all her questions are answered. Love you my friend.
