Olivia Garcia Obituary
Olivia was a member of the Catholic Church. In her younger years, she was always the life of the party and loved to dance "La Charanga" while having a good shot of tequila. Olivia loved to clean and wash, playing cards, watching Wheel of Fortune, gardening, and going to the casino. She was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. She also enjoyed cooking her chili con carne with fresh tortillas and beans for guests. Olivia loved to take care of her family and spend time with her grandkids. She will be dearly missed.
Olivia was preceded in death by her husband: Antonio Garcia; her parents: Guillermo and Elisa Ortiz; brothers: Crespin Ortiz and Willie Ortiz; sisters: Luisa Martinez, Estella Macias, Irene Ramirez, and Julia Pinedo; and sons: Orlando Garcia and Daniel Garcia.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Oscar Garcia and wife Connie, Roberto Garcia, and Rudolfo Garcia and wife Sylvia, all of Kermit, TX; daughters: Deloras Nunez and husband Humberto and Becky Leyva and husband Juan, all of Kermit, TX; grandchildren: Oscar Jr. and wife Rebecca, Cassandra and husband Dylan, Ashley and husband Dennis, Rudie and partner Lorena, Humberto Jr and wife Hilda, Johnny and wife Lluliana, Jessica, Andy, Lionel, Priscilla, Daniel and partner John, Dominic, and Elisa; 19 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
A Rosary service will be held 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit. A funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at St. Thomas/St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Victorino Loresca Jr. Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Oscar Garcia Jr., Humberto Nunez Jr., Andy Nunez, Rudie Garcia, Daniel Garcia, and Juan Leyva. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Johnny Nunez, Dominic Garcia, Lionel Nunez, Cassandra Johnson, and Ashley Melton.
Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor and condolences may be sent to the family at www.fs-fp.com.
