Wayne Davis Morgan, 75
LA GRANGE

Wayne Davis Morgan, age 75, of La Grange, Ky., passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025-after a medical event that occurred while doing something he truly loved: playing a round of golf.
Born June 23, 1950, to Davis "Zeke" and Marjorie Pollard Morgan, Wayne inherited his lifelong passion for the game from his father, a love he proudly passed on to his sons and grandson.
Wayne spent 19 years working for the DC Housing Authority before retiring in 2019, moving back to Oldham County. He was a lifetime member of the Oldham County Country Club where he is a two-time club champion. Wayne also enjoyed fishing where he was a Charter Captain of the Frayed Knot on the Chesapeake Bay. Horse racing was another hobby of Wayne's, where he liked to root for the local horses and trainers.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Davis "Zeke" Morgan.
Left to cherish the memory of Wayne are his wife of 34 years, Carol Morgan; mother, Marjorie Pollard Morgan; children, Lance Morgan, Kristopher Morgan, Jason McNamara (Dena) and Hilary Morgan; grandchildren, Abigail Morgan, Caleb Morgan, Sidney McNamara, Tyler Baker and Madison Turner; great-grandchild, Ryan Turner; brother, Dale Morgan (Anne Hughes); extended family and many friends.
A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St. in La Grange at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery with Army military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Please come dressed in your golfing best!
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Heart Association in Wayne's memory.
His memory will live on in every shared swing, every sunny afternoon on the course and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
