Ronald Page Obituary

Ronald J. Page

June 3, 1943 - July 4, 2025

Ronald J. Page, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2025, at his home in Council Bluffs, IA. He was born in Council Bluffs on June 3, 1943, to the late Al and Shirley (Ballard) Page.

Ron was named after Ronald Reagan, he embodied the spirit of a proud American Patriot throughout his life. He attended Rue Elementary and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1961. His deep sense of duty led him to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps, a chapter that further shaped his strong character.

From an early age, Ron was passionate about sports, particularly basketball and baseball. He played well into his 40s, and later transitioned to coaching his children's teams, always imparting his competitive spirit and strong work ethic.

Ron was dedicated to the auto parts business from the age of 21, eventually owning two auto parts stores. He later went on to serve as Director of Parts and Sales for eight locations at Jim Hawk Truck Trailer, where he mentored and inspired countless individuals for over 30 years. His guidance and encouragement left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.

No matter the season, if the Chiefs, Creighton, or Nebraska were playing, Ron could always be found cheering them on, surrounded by his family, a true testament to his love of sports and loyalty to his teams.

Ron took immense pride in every detail of his life, from his meticulously cared-for cars, garage, and yard, to his clothing. A perfectionist in the best sense, he believed in maintaining high standards in all that he did. His love of healthy living, passion for travel, and joy in attending his grandkids' sporting events and car shows were just a few of the ways he embraced life with zeal.

His warmth, loyalty, and zest for life will be missed more than words can say. To honor his memory and the love he had for his country, we invite everyone to wear red, white, and blue in remembrance of his patriotism and unwavering spirit.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Barb of 32 years.

Ron is survived by his children, Ronda (Tyler) Schott, Robin Stander, Rachel Shanks, Ryan Page, Lori (Kevin) Rainforth, Jenny (Walter) Martin; grandchildren, Skyler (Tatum) Schott, Kaylee (Austin) Conklin, Sierra Schott, Brooke (Dan) Baker, Jake (Amanda) Stander, Jillian Shanks, Dylan Pag, Bailey (Tyler) Staab, Blake Rainforth, Grant Mlnarik, Laylah Mlnarik, Marcus (Whitney) Mlnarik, Makenzi (Greg) Black; many great-grandchildren; brother, Mark (Jeanne) Page.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11 a.m., all at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the Cutler O'Neill Community Room. Burial with Military Honors will be at Cedar Dale Cemetery, Papillion, NE.
