Virginia Hancock Obituary

DARLINGTON " Virginia Weaver Hancock, age 81, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005.

Graveside funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday in Grove Hill Cemetery conducted by Jessie and Pastor Frankie Tanner and directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hancock was born in Darlington County, daughter of the late Matt and Pauline Blackmon Weaver. She was married to the late James E. Hancock. She was a housewife and enjoyed NASCAR. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son, James W. Hancock of Darlington; two sisters, Shirley (W. L.) Stanton and Joyce W. Lloyd, both of Darlington; also a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian W. Howle.

The family will be at the home of Joyce W. Lloyd, 1515 Peachtree Street, Darlington.

Memorials are suggested to McLeod Hospice, 555 E. Cheves Street, Florence, S.C. 29506.
