Pamela Raquepaw Obituary

PAMELA RAQUEPAW Pamela Raquepaw (Hines) passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at home with her loved ones around her.  Pamela was born in Lansing, Michigan.  She grew up in Burt, Michigan, and in 1976 received her GED from Chesaning High School.  She received her Associate's Degree in Business in 1996 from Baker College of Owosso.   Pamela retired from Wellsprings Lutheran Services and Oscoda County.  She was an EMT for many years in Oscoda County.  For many years, she worked at Owosso Memorial Hospital and Owosso Ambulance Services before moving to Mio, Michigan. After retirement, she enjoyed driving around with her Amish friends in the community.   Pamela loved quilting and sewing.  She often made baby blankets for expecting mothers in the community.  She also loved dabbling in different crafts.  Her true passion was helping others. She was an amazing cook and would cook enough food for an army. Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Woodrow Raquepaw, Jr., her father Joseph Hines, and her mother Joyce Hines (Grant), her brother Randy Hines, her sisters, Gail Bertacco (Grant) and Barbara Johnson (Grant), and her beloved uncle, James Smith. Pamela is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hinson of Newport, NH, and her grandson, George Aluarac Jr. (Meagan) of Nashua, NH.  She is survived by stepchildren, Angela Gee (Keith) of East Jordan and Brent Raquepaw (Essexville), step-grandchildren, Marcus Gee (Ashley), Chelsea Gee (Shane), and Bentley Raquepaw. She is also survived by her Aunt Freida Smith of Perry, Trey, Cassidy, Willow, and Keo, and many nieces and nephews. More importantly, she is survived by her faithful fur babies, Puckett and Rosie. The family will welcome friends for a time of visitation on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Lashley Funeral Home in Mio, MI, beginning at 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
