Brenda Boman
Brenda Lee Boman, 62, of Sanford, MI, on July 11th, 2025, after decades of meticulously planning family vacations, decided to plan a well earned eternal vacation for herself to reunite with some long missed family and friends.
Brenda was born on February 22nd, 1963 to Donald and Phyllis Boman in Sanford, MI. In her youth she enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycles, and getting into good trouble.
After Brenda graduated from Meridian High School in 1981, she entered the Army in 1982, and eventually went on to study at SVSU where she received a degree in criminal justice. She also proudly attended The Adrian Montessori Teacher Education Institute, and received her Montessori Early Childhood Teaching certificate, of which she used on a local level within the Meridian School District during her career.
Brenda liked her coffee strong with a little sugar, her hikes through the woods long, winding, and peppered with curious conversation, and her cookies to be soft, buttery, and delicious. The high point of her year was planning and going on family vacations all over Michigan, but her true passion was scouting out antique shops and garage sales for hidden treasures.
Brenda was preceded in eternal vacation by her father, Donald A. Boman. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis M. Boman, daughter, Amber L. Boman (Bryan Bachman), son, Rafe M. Boman (Jessica Boman), and long-term partner, Donald Reihl, as well as her four older brothers, and countless extended family and friends.
Per Brenda's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held with close family and friends at a future date, time, and location. In lieu of flowers, given her love of nature and a good meal, please honor her memory by taking time out of your day to go for a short hike, enjoy a picnic, read a good book, or bake something that fills you with love when you taste it.
