Larry Dale Scribner, 79, formerly of Midland passed away surrounded by his family on April 1, 2025.
Larry was born on April 1, 1946, one of 12 children in a bustling, close-knit family. He grew up surrounded by the joys and challenges of a large household, experiences that shaped his resilience and humor.
Larry married DarylAnne Mapes, and together they shared 40 years of marriage, raising nine children and building a family that would grow to include 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Though their marriage ended, the life they built together remains a cornerstone of his legacy.
In his later years, Larry married Jo Eidhammer, with whom he spent the last decade of his life.
Larry was a man of deep faith. As a devout Jehovah's Witness, his hope in the promise of a paradise earth gave him comfort and purpose. He firmly believed he would one day be reunited with his parents, siblings, and his beloved son, who passed away at just 18.
Larry's life was not without hardship, but it was a life that mattered. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family, who will carry forward both his lessons and his legacy. He leaves behind a story of faith, family, and a hope for the future.
