Wyaneta Agnes Timm, 89, of Cokato, MN, formerly of Dassel, MN, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at the Cokato Manor Community.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel, with Rev. Janine Olson officiating. A time to connect with family and friends over a light lunch will take place following the memorial service.
A private inurnment will take place on a later date at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Miltona, MN.
The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the memorial arrangements.

www.glcdassel.com/worship-service.Wyaneta Agnes Timm, the daughter of Albert and Hertha (Betterman) Timm, was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Parkers Prairie, MN. She was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Miltona.
She attended school in Parkers Prairie Schools and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1954. While growing up, her family enjoyed traveling after the harvest to visit family in California, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Wyaneta attended college at Concordia College in Sewerd, NE, and studied elementary education. She was a life-long faithful Lutheran and has been a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel since 2001.
After graduating from college in 1958, Wyaneta taught in several different Lutheran schools for 43 years. The majority of her teaching career was in Glendale, CA, Los Angeles, CA and Blythe, CA, with a brief role in Northampton, PA, and upstate New York.
Her former students remember her with great love and respect. Many of her students remain close to Miss Timm, considering her a part of their extended family.
Following her retirement in 2001, Wyaneta moved to Dassel and joined Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
After her return to Minnesota, Wyaneta and her sister Char supported a young man named Tony. He was able to attend a Christian school due to their generosity and was loved dearly by both Char and Wyaneta.
Her passion for teaching continued as she taught Sunday school for 24 years and led the lessons for Ruth Circle at Gethsemane in Dassel.
Wyaneta's passion for and knowledge of the stories of faith has been shared with many generations. This passion for books and knowledge continued in her dedication to the Gethsemane library board.
Wyaneta was a true artist. Her home was decorated with her original artwork and has also shared pieces with loved ones. She shared her love of art with the Lakeside community in Dassel, as she led crafts and art projects for many years.
Wyaneta was also a true lover of animals. She thoroughly enjoyed being visited by puppies and baby goats in her time at Cokato Manor.
She was preceded in death her parents, Albert and Hertha.
She is survived by her sister, Charleen Timm, and many, many cousins, dear friends, and former students.
Wyaneta has left a legacy of faith, love, and friendship, and she will be missed by many.
