Arda Olson-Renfrow Obituary
April 14, 1930 - September 10, 2025
Arda M. Olson-Renfrow, 95, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate, with burial to follow at Grand Island City Cemetery. Arda was born on April 14, 1930, in Sartoria, Nebraska, to Ernest and Gertrude (Bauer) Cool. She grew up and attended school in Miller, NE.
She married Claude "Bud" Olson on February 11, 1947, and together they raised four children-Charlie, Tim, LeAnn, and Greg-while living in Kearney, NE, and Green Bay, WI. They moved to Grand Island in 1978, where Arda worked as assistant manager at Country Kitchen Restaurant until retirement. Bud passed away in 1986.
In 1997, Arda married Richard Renfrow, and the couple later settled in Grand Island after his retirement.
Arda had a gift for making people feel at home. She loved gardening, sewing, baking, and sharing her talents with others-whether through a homemade pie, fresh vegetables, or a carefully sewn gift. Friday nights were spent with friends, enjoying meals and laughter at their favorite local spots.
She is survived by her husband, Richard and children, Charles (Lynn) Olson of Wisconsin, Tim Olson of Grand Island, LeAnn Pisarik of lowa, Greg (Laura) Olson of Grand Island, Dennis (Cheri) Renfrow of Omaha and Rick (Dee) Renfrow of Omaha. Also cherishing her memory are 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Bud; siblings, LaRea Snacker, Bobbie Pfieffer, Vera Hough, and Ronald Cool; daughters-in-law, Barb Olson and Kris Olson; son-in-law, Pat Pisarek; and grandson, Kyle Renfrow.
Arda will be remembered for her generous heart, strong spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
A gathering for friends and family will be held at 11:00 am (Following the services) at The Venues on South Locust 1607 S. Locust St., Grand Island.
Lunch will be provided.
