Patricia F. Easton

October 3, 1940 - July 26, 2025

Patricia F. Easton passed away on July 26, 2025, at 4:45 a.m., at Goldwater in Pontiac Ill. Pat was born in Lerna, Ill., on October 3, 1940, to Junior Lawson Ground and Tuvula Grace Speer Ground. She was married to C Dean Easton and together they raised three children, Susan, Kenneth and Elizabeth.

Pat graduated from Mattoon High School in 1958. She previously worked for Farm Credit Services and retired from State Farm Insurance, Bloomington in 2003.

Surviving Pat are her daughters, Susan (David) Dodson of Colfax and Beth (Brad) Peterson of Normal.

Being a grandma was Pat's greatest joy. Surviving grandchildren are Dale (Bridget) Hoffman, Joshua (Jess), Jeff and Anthony (Emily) Easton; Adam and Chad (Ashley) Dodson; Austin (Alysa) Peterson and Anna (Michael) Crawford; great-grandchildren, Miles (Alexa), Elsie, Audrey, and Evalyn Hoffman; Ellar, Loddie and Vaeda Easton; Eloise and Esme Peterson; Dexter Dodson, and Lexi Grace Dodson arriving in the fall.

Preceding her in death are her parents; brother, Elmer; son, Ken; daughter-in-law, Diana; and great-grandson, Cooper.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac. Inurnment will be private.

Memorials may be made to the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donation Network.
