Philip Canale Obituary

Philip Angelo Canale
October 16, 1967 - July 8, 2025
Born October 16th, 1967 in Santa Rosa, CA passed away on July 8 at 12:50 a.m., in Klamath Falls Oregon.
Philip was a kind, generous, exuberant and imperfect man who had a zest for life. He loved The Grateful Dead, the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco Giants. Philip was an avid hunter in his youth and spent many days bird hunting with family and friends. A charming sense of humor with an incredible memory for details, Philip was an excellent storyteller who enjoyed holding court with family members regaling them with details from past adventures. Even in his final days, with incredible difficulty speaking, he told fun and interesting stories of his earlier days.
Philip is preceded in heaven by his parents Barbara and Dominic Canale, oldest brother John and older sister Teresa. He is survived by his son Michael and grandchildren Odin and Mia, and siblings Mark, Dominic (Ruth), Mary (Max), Joseph (Teguh), Tim (Andi), nieces Selena (Jason) Canale-Stevenson, Lulu Canale and nephew Rowley Canale.
Philip will be loved and missed by all who knew him. The world will be a little less kind with his passing. A gravesite burial service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2930 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa at 10 a.m. Thursday July 17th 2025.

There were three of us, two of you were inseparable... and I was jealous. But my jealousy matured into an appreciation for what really matters in this existence- a shared connection. We were young and all lost in our own way but found love and friendship as well as reasons to go on and come back with and through each other. You were a good friend. I am sad because your journey seems too short. I will remember the happiness and naivety of youth and cherish the memories from the times you and KCD let me be a part of. You will be missed.
