John DeCarlo, of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, at home. He was born on December 2, 1942, to Anna Mae (Staub) and Carmen DeCarlo, in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Dobbins Technical High School. John was a printer for over 40 years, retiring as a supervisor at Smith, Edwards, Dunlap in Philadelphia.
John was a devoted family man. Enjoyed many summer vacations on the beach with his wife and son.
John was predeceased by his parents, Carmen and Mae; his sister, Doris; and his brother, James.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Kathy (Frattini); and his son;,John (Jay). He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Joan DeCarlo, Barbara Ann Mergen and Barbara Frattini; cousins, Robert DeCarlo and Nancy Lynne Palmentieri. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation and a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st, at the Church of St. Katharine Drexel, 6077 West Jersey Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with Mass immediately following at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ARC of Atlantic County, 6550 Delilah Rd. # 101, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 in his son's name, Jay DeCarlo.
