John C. "Jack" Nahm

John C. "Jack" Nahm, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at The Shores in Ocean City, N.J.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Jack was a lifelong resident of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, having lived in Langhorne and Bethlehem, Pa., and later in Petersburg and Ocean City, NJ. He was a 1955 graduate of Neshaminy High School in Pennsylvania and soon after began his career with Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania as a lineman. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks, holding various supervisory and management positions over 30 years.
From 1959 to 1965, Jack served honorably in the United States Army Reserves. A gifted marksman, he was awarded the #1 Sharpshooter distinction for his platoon.
After retiring from Bell, Jack followed his passion for building by launching a home construction business in the Ocean City area. In a second retirement, he remained active and community-focused by founding Jack Nahm Home Inspections, serving homeowners in Cape May and Atlantic Counties.
In his youth, Jack was a nationally competitive speed skater for Mammoth Casino Red Devils, in Penndel, Pa., traveling across the country and earning numerous trophies and awards. He was also an accomplished musician and longtime participant in the Philadelphia Mummers Parades. He played both guitar and accordion with several renowned string bands, including the Penndel String Band, Aqua String Band, and Greater Kensington String Band. His love for music and tradition was a vibrant part of his life and identity.
He was a man of many talents, with a lifelong love of woodworking. Whether building toys for his grandchildren, crafting furniture, or constructing homes and additions for loved ones, Jack's skillful hands and generous spirit left a lasting legacy.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his loving daughters, Kathy Bellucci of Marmora; and Kim Palermo (Tom) of Ocean View; his brother, George Nahm of Levittown, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Megan Bellucci, Alyssa Bellucci, Kristin Crawford (Bryan), and Tom Palermo.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Nahm, and his parents, John and Lillian Nahm.

Jack's life was marked by quiet strength, unmatched kindness, a knack for fixing and figuring out just about anything, and a deep devotion to family, music, and friends.
Jack was laid to rest next to his beloved Joyce in a private service.
