Maureen Mack Obituary

Maureen Mack

January 26, 1937 - June 24, 2025

Maureen T. Mack (née Taylor), 88, of Galloway, N.J., passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2025, just one day after celebrating her 70th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, David W. Mack.

Born January 26, 1937, in Cardiff, N.J., Maureen was the daughter of Elmer and Katherine Taylor, and a proud graduate of Holy Spirit High School, Class of 1955.

Maureen worked for over 25 years as a dedicated retail clerk at ShopRite, where her coworkers affectionately called her "Macky." Her steady presence, work ethic, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was deeply involved in her children's school and sports activities, and was famous for her legendary cupcakes at the Pleasantville Tornado's football booth and South Pleasantville Little League. She loved anything with strawberries, and found joy in simple pleasures: walking and biking with David, relaxing with word puzzles, and spending time with friends.

Every summer, she created magical memories by taking the "Tunis Avenue Gang" to Ventnor Beach for days of sand and laughter. Maureen's contagious smile and laugh made everyone feel welcome, and she always made sure others were cared for and loved.

She is survived by her husband, David; children, Allison Jane Keeping (Mike), Craig Mack (Kim), and John Mack (Augusta, deceased); grandchildren, Doug Keeping (Mary), Mike Keeping (Jacilyn), John Cameron Mack, and Dana Mack Van Nutt (Derrick); and great-grandchildren, Harper Faith (arriving September 2025), Avery Christine, James Michael Keeping, Teagan Avery, Tenley Reese, and Taylor Quinn Van Nutt.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family thanks NJ Health Hospice and Palliative Care for their compassionate support.
