Mary White Obituary

Mary Darlene White, 52, of Glen Campbell, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Forbes in Monroeville.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1972, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Robert Lee White, Sr. and Helen Darlene (Rypczyk) White.
Although they never married, Mary enjoyed the companionship of Jeffrey Shank for over 37 years. Together they raised a loving family.
Mary attended Faith Fellowship Church.
She worked as a caregiver for Accessabilities for many years and was still caring for others at the time of her death.
Mary was a devoted caregiver whose life was defined by selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own with quiet strength and unwavering love. She spent a lifetime nurturing those around her, creating a sense of peace and comfort. Her family was everything to Mary; she adored her children and grandchildren and dearly loved her brother and sisters.
She found joy in simple pleasures, swimming, riding horses and traveling with her cousin crew.
In addition to her husband, Jeff, she is survived by three daughters, Danielle Christine Shank of Glen Campbell, Ashley Nicole (Evan) Vanderhoof of Ringgold and Heather Elaine Shank of Glen Campbell; two stepsons, Michael Patterson of Hamilton and Jeremy Ferrara, Sr., of Portsmouth, Virginia; grandchildren Aubrey Shank, Adrianna Vanderhoof, Owen Craig Ray Shepler, Dontae Main, Jeremy Ferrara, Jr., Cheyenne Ferrara, Jennifer Snyder and Jasmine Erdley; one brother, Robert Lee ""Bob"" White of Punxsutawney; sisters Chrissy (George Shepler) White of Big Run and Stephanie (Adam) Simmers of Titusville; nieces and nephews Elizabeth Schoening, Bryana Vos and William Haag; and three special aunts, Shirley Stellabuto, Debbie Kitchen and Geneva Rypczyk..
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Jennifer Shank; and one brother, Brian White.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Cliff Vos. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Rossiter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist family with funeral expenses.
