Joan C. Lambin, 96, of Galva, died Friday, May 23, 2025, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 31st, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Galva. Rev. Katie Gallagher will officiate. Entombment will be in the Ophiem Lutheran Cemetery, Ophiem. Ill.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services, at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church.
Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Galva, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Joan Charlotte Swanson was born September 12, 1928, in Ophiem, the daughter of Patrick and Frances Joneson Swanson. She was educated in Alpha area schools and graduated from Alpha High School in 1946. Her marriage to Alfred A. Lambin took place on June 6, 1948 in Ophiem. He passed away on January 1, 2015.
She was a homemaker and also assisted her husband in their jewelry stores in Galva, Geneseo, and Kewanee. Her memberships included the Messiah Lutheran Church and the Galva chapter of PEO.
Those surviving are a sister, Patricia Klundt; two sisters-in-law, Eunice Swanson and Darlene Swanson; many loving nieces and nephews; and the Frank Cortes family. Her parents and her husband; sister, Betty Skantz; brothers, Ray and Leo Swanson; two nephews; and two nieces preceded her in death.
