Steven Keck

Steven R. Keck, 80, of Victoria, Ill., passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Ill.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July, 1, 2025, at 10 a.m., at the New Windsor (Petrie) Cemetery. Online Condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknow.com.

Steven was born on May 25, 1945, in Moline, Ill., the son of Ralph and Marion Shroyer Keck. He was raised in New Windsor, Ill., and graduated from Winola High School in 1963. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force after high school. He worked the remainder of his career as an Engineer for the Rock Island Arsenal. He was also a member of the New Windsor Sportsman Club and volunteered for the New Windsor Fire Department.

Steven enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with his grandchildren, golfing, and hunting. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. He was exceptionally good at building and fixing things. Most of all, Steven was a kind and generous man and loved by many.

Steven is survived by his daughters, Kristie (PJ Becker) Stanton of Springfield, Ill., and Nichole Shannon of Alpha, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Nathan Bates, Nolan Bates, Libbie Bates, Lauren Bates, Phillip Shannon, Marcie Shannon, and Mollie Shannon.
