August 8, 1945 - March 13, 2025
Wanda "Kay" Spicher, 79, of Kildeer, Illinois, (formerly Alpha, Illinois), passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Alden Poplar Creek Rehab in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. The funeral service will directly follow the visitation at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Alpha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be left to Alzheimer's Association. Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha is handling the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.
Kay was born on August 8, 1945 to Albert and Lucille Hart Spencer in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Kay married John Spicher in Alpha at the Alpha United Methodist Church in 1963. She was a member of the Alpha United Methodist Church for many years and also attending the Woodhull United Church. She was a member of the "Alwood Belles" chapter of the Red Hat Society. Kay loved shopping, cross-stitching, and was a voracious reader.
Those left to cherish Kay's memory include her life-long partner and husband, John Spicher; her two children, Dee Dee (Robert) Belovicz of Kildeer, Illinois and Johnny (Karen Garcia) Spicher of Sanford, Florida; and two grandsons, Ryan and Jacob Belovicz. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Ann Spencer.

I'll always remember Kay while working at the Arsenal. She had a great spirit and heart. She worked hard and ran circles around most of us. We talked about her love for her family a lot.
