July 30, 1981 - July 17, 2025

Amanda S. Caldwell-Portillo, 43, of East Moline, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the East Moline American Legion, 829 16th Avenue, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Amanda was born on July 30, 1981, in Silvis, the daughter of Roy and Angela (Fifield) Caldwell. Amanda was a high school graduate, United Township Class of '99. She received an Associate's Degree from Black Hawk College. She last worked for Amazon and prior to that worked as a parts buyer for Group O. Amanda enjoyed to travel, playing softball in high school and for ASA, avid bowler, and her fun stubborn demeaner. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Roy and Angela Caldwell; sons, William A. Wakeland and Calvin F. Portillo; siblings, Marcie (Jared) Stumphy and Jeff Caldwell; nephews, Noah, Alex, and Chase Stumphy; niece, Kaitlin Caldwell; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Margaret Fifield and her paternal grandparents, Calvin and Margaret Caldwell. I want to say that I'm very sorry Amanda was a good friend she cared so much for people. She talked non stop about her boys. they should know that she is so highly proud of them. I talked to her on the 17th she was on her way home for the night. I'm very sorry for your loss but boys your mother loved you so much.
