Frank Poma

August 25, 1950 - April 29, 2025

Frank Poma, 74, of Amana and formerly of Coralville, passed away on April 29, 2025 at Colonial Manor.

A rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with a visitation to follow from 4-6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City. Private family interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville.

Frank was born on August 25, 1950 in Rock Island, Illinois to Robert and Louise (Ronveaux) Poma. After graduating from Alleman High School in Rock Island, Frank attended St. Ambrose College in Davenport and received his bachelor's degree in accounting. He served as President of Microsurface in Wilton for many years before retiring.

On May 22, 1971 he married Cynthia Peterson in Rock Island and to this union, three children were born. The family moved to Coralville in 1974.

In his spare time, Frank enjoyed fishing, watching Iowa sporting events and spending time helping loved ones.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Cindi; children: Chris Poma (Laurel Snyder), Elliott Poma (Alyse Riley-Poma) and Beth Poma; grandchildren: Mose, Lewis and Brooklyn Poma as well as his siblings: Carla Lofgren, Colette Thompson, Vicki Kakert and Steve Poma. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Tom Poma, Cheryl Sand, Kathryn Poma and Mary Poma.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the CommUnity Crisis Food Bank, Essence of Life Hospice or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
