Joyce E. (Stitt) Santero-Morton

February 24, 1939 - July 4, 2025

CENTENNIAL - Joyce E. (Stitt) Santero-Morton, age 86, of Centennial, CO and formally of Chadron, NE, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 in Centennial.

Cremation has taken place and services are pending.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC in Sidney, NE is in charge of Joyce's care and cremation services. Friends may stop by the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel to leave condolences for the family.

Joyce Elaine, the daughter of Robert Charles and Marion (Peterson) Stitt was born on February 24, 1939 in Benkelman, NE. The family eventually moved to Chadron, where Joyce graduated from Chadron High School. Joyce was active in many activities including Majorette of the Chadron High Band. She then attended Dana College before marrying Guido Santero. Three children were born to this marriage, Lyndee, Kurt and Amy.

Joyce was active in many occupations including office manager, make-up sales and real estate. The family lived in Overland Park, KS for a time before relocating to Colorado. She was very artistic and was skilled at oil painting.

Survivors include two daughters, Lyndee (Ron) Bourgault, of Palm Springs, CA and Castle Rock, CO and Amy Santero, of Lakewood, CO; two grandchildren, Curtis Santero, of Castle Rock, CO and Ryan (Chris) Alexander, of Palm Springs, CA; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Kurt; husband, Steve Morton; her parents; and brother, Bob Stitt and his wife, Bev.
