Deborah Franklin Obituary

Deborah Lee Franklin

Feb. 19, 1960

May 1, 2025

Deborah "Debbie" Lee Franklin, 65, of Lindsay, California, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Born on February 19, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Debbie made her home and her heart in California's Central Valley for the past 35 years, where she became known and loved by many.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Franklin; her parents, Burt Whitlow and Aileen Fletcher; her brother, Allen Whitlow; her sister, Ruth Lee, and her step-daughter, Christie Gurrola. She is survived by her sister, Linda Gonzalez; her brother, Mike (Diane) Whitlow; her sister, Nancy (Paula) Whitlow; and her cherished nieces and nephews: Rochelle Leyva, Gina (Fernando) Guzmán, David (Shelby) Wulf, Sabrina Wulf, Bud Lee, Burt

(Leigh) Lee, Roseanne Miller and Darryl (Amy) Whitlow. She also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as her grandchildren: Ashlyn, Madyson, Carson and Emilee, all of whom she adored. Debbie's deep

bond with her grandchildren's mother, Brooke Queen, was a special part of her family life.  She also had a special bond with Luis Crone and his family, whom she loved deeply.

A hard worker with an unmatched spirit, Debbie hauled hay throughout the Valley, earning not only the

loyalty of her customers but the affection of every animal she encountered along the way. Known for tossing treats to

the four-legged friends along her route, Debbie's kindness left a lasting impression wherever she went. Her love of animals was more than a hobby it was a calling. She gave a home to every stray she found and would go to any

lengths to care for them.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeff Scheer, Alan and Liz Changala, Craig Bowser and all those that have reached out with kind words and support during this difficult time as it has meant so much.

Debbie's life was one of grit, love, generosity, and deep connections especially with animals and the people of her community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
