DAVID KAHNKE 08/15/9146 - 07/11/2025 David Kahnke, 78, of St. Cloud, formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Edenbrook Skilled Nursing Facility in St. Cloud. Mass of Christian burial was at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, following lunch then burial at the church cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to Mass from 12 to 1 p.m., all on Friday at the church. Livestream broadcast: https://www.youtube.com/@LOWAFC/streams. David was born on August 15, 1946. David dedicated much of his career to construction as a crane operator and general contracting, showcasing his skills in drywall and a range of other trades. In recent years, he adapted to new opportunities by driving for LYFT and Uber in St. Cloud. A proud graduate of Redwood Falls High School in 1964, David carried with him the values instilled during his formative years. David is survived by his beloved daughters, Pamela (Matthew) Simonson of Becker and Paula (Mark) Just of Spooner, Wis. He is also survived by his sister Yvonne (Richard) Nachreiner of Springfield and his brother Dennis (Kathy) Kahnke of Redwood Falls. Additionally, he leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Jacob Simonson and Zachary Simonson, both of Becker. David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Hilda Kahnke, as well as his brothers, Joe Kahnke and Gordon Kahnke. Their memories remain a part of who he was and a reminder of the family ties that united them. May he rest in peace.
