My deepest sympathy to you, Father Cavanaugh, in the loss of your mother. No matter how old, our hearts break when we lose our Mom's. My condolences, too, to her family and friends. Father Cavanaugh, I remember when you called me one time after you'd moved to New Hartford. I was so surprised to hear from you but I quickly knew that you had the wrong Cathy. I could hear your Mom in the background saying 'is her husband's name, Brian?' I said, 'yes, it is'. ...and then it dawned on me...this was not the first time I was mixed up with the other 'Kathy and Brian'...Kathy Christie, that is...who is married to her Brian. I chuckled once we cleared it up and your mother sounded so cute in the background. God rest her beautiful soul, she must have been so proud of you becoming a priest. May perpetual light shine upon her.
