Born: August 13, 1943 | Died: September 12, 2025

Freda Jo Woods, age 82, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton, Tennessee. She was born on August 13, 1943, in Dayton to Roy and Ova Elsea.

A lifelong resident of Dayton, Freda was a devoted member of Wayside Baptist Church in Graysville, Tennessee. She loved word search puzzles, babies, and animals, especially her beloved fur baby girl.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Emma Elsea; her son, Stacey Woods; her daughter, Rosmary Harden; her brother, David Elsea; and her sisters, Lois Roddy and Selba Beaty.

She is survived by her son, Darrell (Susan) Woods; her brother, Edward Elsea; and her sisters, Sue Levi and Ellen Miller. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Heather, Chris, Amy, and Dewayne; and five great-grandchildren: Brayden, Issac, Camden, Ripken, and Oakley.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. The family received friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service, with Pastor Jeff Levi officiating.

Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
