Born: March 22, 1930 | Died: May 25, 2025
Olavene Swafford Roberts, age 95 of Dayton, died Sunday, May 25, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Olavene loved her family, was a factory worked for a few years, and attended The Family Church of God in Dayton. She enjoyed piecing quilts and quilting.
Olavene was preceded in death by her husband, A Roberts; parents, Luther Crave and Versie Thurman
Swafford; brother, Grady Swafford; sisters, Phara Roberts, Alene Roberts, Sue Smith; and grandson, Marty Morgan
Left to cherish Olavene's memories is her son, Russell Roberts; daughter, Wilma (Eddie) Gossett; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; sister, Delorse Case; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of Olavene's life was held at 12:00 pm CDT on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Pikeville Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Jeff Page and Bro. Scott Case officiating. Burial followed in Winnie Cemetery. The family received friends at 10:00 am CDT Tuesday, until service time at Pikeville Funeral Home.
