Rosie Justine Wilson

March 18, 1937 - March 30, 2025

Rosie Justine Wilson, 88, of Salem, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

She was born on March 18, 1937, to the late Posey and Lottie Wilson McDaniel in Henry County, VA. Rosie was a nursing aide for thirteen years at the former Danville Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Lester Wilson; two daughters, Sally Ann Wilson and Cindy Lo White; brothers, Posey McDaniel, Jr., Gene McDaniel, and Paul McDaniel; sisters, Elaine Peek, Freda Gammon, and Patricia Walden.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Donna Herington (Robert), and Rosa Rigney; great-grandchildren, Logan, Sarah, Chris, and James; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kaye McDaniel.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Friends may visit with the family from 5:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.
