TIMOTHY GILLIS Obituary

GILLIS, Timothy J. Timothy James "TJ" Gillis, of Boston, MA, formerly of Washington, DC and North Andover, MA, passed away at 40 years old. TJ was born in Lawrence on February 20, 1984. He found his professional calling with a 20-year career in the restaurant industry. TJ started as a bartender and quickly moved into management, working in both Boston and Washington, DC. TJ's most recent education was his sommelier certification. He previously attended Suffolk University, Bishop Fenwick High School, North Andover Middle School and Franklin elementary. TJ is survived by his parents, Michael and Anne-Marie (Hehir) Gillis of North Andover; as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Diana Gillis of Arlington, VA. Also among his survivors are his two nephews, Eamon and Patrick Gillis; and countless friends who were indistinguishable from family, including Brendan Sullivan, as well as Marc, Laura, Isabella and Arianna "Owl" Ricciardelli. Visiting Hours: Family and friends may call on Thursday, from 4-7 PM, at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, NORTH ANDOVER. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:30am, on Friday, January 24, at St. Michael's Church, Main Street, North Andover. A Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Shriner's Children Hospital.
