Maureen Pascoe Obituary

Maureen Daly Pascoe, a force in life and public service, passed away in late July. A celebration of her life occurred at a friend's home in East Sacramento on what would have been her 65th Birthday in August. Born in 1960 to Jim and Ruth Daly of Iowa City, Iowa, she was the sixth of seven children. At 16, she left Iowa for UC Davis, later receiving a Master's of City Planning from UC Berkeley. She began a career in urban planning with a lifelong emphasis on Transit for Liveable Communities. In 1999, Maureen would marry the love of her life, Nicolaus Pascoe. The light of her life was their son Martin. Maureen was conscientious, funny, generous, and a fantastic cook. Her literary prowess served her well in life, constantly favoring curiosity and adventure. She played a fierce game of Scrabble weekly with Cousin Jane. She threw great Hanukkah parties. She rode her bike everywhere. She is survived by her husband Nick and son Marty. Two Brothers, Jim and Dan, four sisters - Mary Jo, Sheila, Kathy, and Peg - cousins Laura and Julie, and many, many nieces and nephews, friends, and colleagues who will all miss Maureen.
