Sherry Ann Riley

October 4, 1959 - July 3, 2025

Fair Oaks, California - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sherry Ann Riley of Fair Oaks, California, who departed this life to be with her savior on July 3, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on October 4, 1959, in Plattsburgh, New York, Sherry's military family spent three years in Tripoli before spending most of her childhood in Bossier City, Louisiana where she loved baton twirling, parades, and tap dancing, and where she won Little Miss Bossier City at age 13. Sherry later lived in several towns across California, including Bakersfield, Fresno, Lincoln, and West Sacramento before settling in Fair Oaks.

Sherry was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, a faithful servant, and a cherished friend to many.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin; her children, Thomas and Amanda; her treasured grandchildren, Rylee and Sophie; her mother, Judy; and her brothers, Rick and Harley. She was preceded in death by loved ones who now welcome her home in eternal peace.

A skilled dental hygienist by profession, Sherry dedicated over 20 years of her life to serving Native American communities with deep compassion and care. Her work was not just a career, it was a calling rooted in her faith and love for others.

Sherry's spirit shone brightest during the holidays. She delighted in baking gingerbread and other Christmas cookies to share with family, friends, and coworkers, and found great joy in celebrating Christmas and other holidays and events that brought people together. Her love for nature took her hiking and camping often, and her heart was always open to animals and the simple beauty of the world around her.

A woman of unwavering faith, Sherry loved Jesus deeply and lived each day in humble service to others. She gave generously of her time and heart, always putting the needs of those around her before her own. Her life was a beautiful testimony to grace, selflessness, and love.

Sherry Riley leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and warmth that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her light will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those blessed by her presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sherry's birthday, October 4th, at Capitol Free Will Baptist Church.
