Albert Horne Obituary

Albert Horne, Sr., age 76, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away at Salisbury home on July 14, 2025. Born November 15, 1948, in Wadesboro, NC, Albert was a man of great strength and love who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Albert worked for many years and retired from Gold Hill Log Homes, where he proudly crafted beautiful log houses for countless families-leaving behind sturdy walls, memories, and legacies that will stand for generations. He was affiliated with the Kingdome Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Salisbury, NC.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda K. Horne (2003); his parents Isaac Horne, Sr. and Florence Leak; his beloved son, Albert Wayne Horne; his beloved daughter, Andrea Horne; and his beloved big brother, Isaac Horne, Jr.

Albert is survived by his cherished children, Stephanie Horne, Michael Horne, Roderick Horne, Kimberly Horne Chalk (widow of the late Damario Chalk), Brandon Horne, Sherrynette Horne, Desiree Horne Covington (Keith), and Isaac Horne. He is also survived by his treasured 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and made his face light up with each visit and call.

Albert was a gifted mechanic, a peaceful fisherman, and devoted family man. Albert's favorite moments were spent surrounded by the laughter and love of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Albert's legacy is built on love, loyalty, and the strength of family. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in every home he helped build, every child he helped raise, and every heart he touched. He will be remembered by his family as they look around and remember the legacy he created and left behind.
