Robyn Purvis Obituary

CLEVELAND - Mrs. Robyn Lynn Creason Purvis, 40, of Cool Springs Road, died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born on November 2, 1984, in Iredell County, to Timothy Ray and Janie Ann Fraley Creason of Cleveland.

Robyn was a member of South River Church in Woodleaf. She graduated from West Rowan High School, Class of 2003 and was employed with Food-Lion in Mocksville for many years. Robyn loved everyone. She was a people person, who loved the elderly and especially babies. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and loved spending time with her family, making memories. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clarence Creason and her paternal grandmother, Margie Osborne Foster (Tince); her maternal grandparents, Spencer and Dortha Pinkston Fraley; and a cousin, Seth Nance.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Dallas Wade Purvis; two children, Grayson Jordan and Haven Harpe; a sister, Holly Black (Shawn) of Cleveland; stepdaughter, Skylar Purvis; step granddaughter, Hensley Smith; her father and mother-in-law, Richard and Linda Purvis of Lexington; brothers-in-law, Hollie Purvis (Wendy) of Lexington and Walter Purvis (Rhonda) of Trinity; nephews and nieces, Cole Haas, Huk Black, Ally Haas, and Madison Apgar; her best friend, Amanda Wilson (Jason) and their daughter, Madison Long; and her furry friend, “Cooper”.

A funeral service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday, July 14, at South River Church, with Rev. Mike Sain officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
