Kay Tate Obituary

Kay Geneva Christensen Tate

1936 ~ 2025

Kay Geneva Christensen Tate, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Murray, Utah. She was born on January 10, 1936, in Midvale, Utah, to Earle Christensen and Kate Marguerite Johnson Hague.

Mom was a warm, likeable person, always there to help and share her wisdom. We always got a laugh when we took her to the doctor; somehow, she always seemed to tell them what was wrong!!! She worked the last 20 years at Spiral Tech with her sons, her favorite job. She loved and was proud of all her children and grandchildren. This 4'9" powerhouse raised 8 children on her own. She was a force to be reckoned with - a true survivor. She will be missed!!!!

Kay is survived by her children: Linda, Scheryl (Lyle), Shauna (Mike), Clint (Debbie), Connie (Jim), Mike (Dawna), Chris (Teresa), and Doug (Rose); 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Marguerite, June, Lorna, and Linda.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah. -
