Marialyce Willmann Luckey
August 18, 1955 - July 4, 2025
Marialyce Willmann Luckey, of La Coste, Texas, passed away July 4, 2025 at the age of 69. She was born August 18, 1955 in Castroville, Texas, to Louis Henry Emil Willmann and Alice Mathilda Lissette Kneese Willmann.
Marialyce graduated from Medina Valley High School in 1973. On August 4, 1979, Marialyce married Thomas Gerald Luckey at the Lytle United Methodist Church. They were blessed with over forty-five years of marriage and one son.
For over thirty-two years, Marialyce worked at Sammy's Restaurant in Castroville. In 2005, she went to work at the Texas Department of Transportation and retired in January of 2024. She was an active member at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville, serving on the pastoral council as well as singing in the choir. She was also past president of the St. Louis Catholic School PTC, 4-H leader, team mom and scorekeeper for the Medina Valley Youth Baseball Association.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Luckey of La Coste; son and daughter-in-law, Jared and Shannon Luckey; granddaughters, Adalynn Rose Luckey and Maisie Catherine Luckey; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and David Schrader of Corpus Christi; mother-in-law, Geraldine Rose Davis; in-laws, Robert Luckey, Lori Schneider Luckey; one niece, numerous nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Marialyce was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Reggie Luckey.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
Memorials may be made in Marialyce's memory to St. Louis Catholic School or to the charity of your choice.
