Mr. Patrick “Pat” K. Farr, Sr., 74, entered into rest on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Rev. Tim McKeown serving as celebrant. Burial to follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Pat was born in Augusta to the late Robert Earl Farr and Katherine Kelly Farr. He was a 1968 graduate of Aquinas High School. Pat retired in 2018 as the Director of Materials Management after 47 years with GIW Industries, Inc. He was a longtime member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Pat served in the Georgia National Guard, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Irish American Heritage, a past board member of Bartram Trail and a past Chairman of the Columbia County Board of Commissioners and also was a softball coach for his daughter Lisa when she was younger. He loved cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs as well as the Braves and Falcons. Pat loved to travel abroad and enjoyed the family vacations at Daytona. He also loved playing golf, especially with his close friends and family.
Pat is survived by his wife, Debbie Nevils Farr; his children, Kelly Farr (Jennifer) and Lisa Farr Halliday; his grandchildren, Camryn Halliday, Patrick Halliday, Trey Farr and Sydney Farr; his sisters, Betty Farr Cobb (Sinton), Kathy Farr Gibson and Theresa Farr McKeon (Jim); his stepchildren, Christie Nevils, Joey Nevils and Angie Nevils Miller; his step grandchildren, Trace Brinson (Addie), Mary Elizabeth Ferron, Mallory Miller, Mason Miller, Taylor Tant, Joey Nevils, Lily Nevils and Paisley Nevils; his step great-granddaughter, Gracie Brinson; and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki Hammond Farr; his brothers, Bobby and Michael Farr; his sister, Carolyn Farr; and his son-in-law, Chris Halliday.
Pallbearers will be Trace Brinson, Art Wilson, Ryan Norton, Mason Miller, Joey Nevils and Clint Harris.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Trinity Hospice and the ladies who took care of Pat, Shakira, Amy and Abby.
A rosary will be recited at 5:00 PM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM.
