Fanwood, New Jersey - James "Jim" McDonald, 77, passed away peacefully on June 26, surrounded by family in Fanwood, New Jersey, after a series of illnesses.
Jim was a proud member of the San Luis Obispo High School Class of 1967. He is survived by his wife, Lynne, his daughter Shawn, her husband, and their two sons.
Jim was a kind, gentle, and supportive soul. He lived by the values of commitment, responsibility, and respect, and he inspired those around him to do the same. A true renaissance man, Jim had a curious mind and a generous heart. He often reminded others, "Don't worry about things, because generally, everything will work out."
He will be deeply missed.

Jim was a close friend and ATO frat buddy while attending Cal Poly. Four of us zoomed once a week since the pandemic. Great memories. He will be missed.

Oh no, I am SO saddened by this news...Jim and I were friends in high school and after. The last time I saw him was to meet for coffee in Avila Beach- Jim and I and Mark Woolpert. Jim was a lovely man and a wonderful friend. My heart is a little broken as I send my sincere condolences to Lynne and family. If you have friends you haven't connected for some time.....call them!!

I have a wonderful high school friend, Jim McDonald, who I believe lived in Eagan, MN. Is this the same JIm McDonald, SLO High, class of 1967? I'm praying not but would some clarification....
