Peter Marinos Obituary

Peter Marinos
09/04/1941 - 04/04/2025
Peter Constantine Marinos, late of San Bruno and San Mateo County resident for 57 years, entered into rest in Burlingame on April 4, 2025. Beloved husband of Jeannette Marinos for 59 years. Devoted son of Gus Marinos and Grace Varellas of Greece and San Francisco, CA. Loving father of John (Kathryn) and Tom (Rebecca). Cherished grandfather of Cora, Andrew, Nicolas, Christopher, and Charlotte.
Peter grew up in a tight knit family in San Francisco where he had many memories of visiting Playland at the Beach, and watching football at Kezar Stadium. He benefitted from his parents desire for him to have a good education graduating from St. Monica School, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, and San Francisco State University with a degree in business administration. Peter was lucky enough to have two careers in his lifetime, first working for Southern Pacific Railroad Company and then for the Department of Defense. Peter and Jeannette were well known "cruisers" enjoying multiple trips to Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska, and their favorite, Hawaii. Peter was an avid gardener, who had a green thumb for everything. "Whatever he put into the ground came up!"
Visitation at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 14, 2025 at CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS with Funeral Liturgy at 12:00 PM. Burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Family appreciates donations to Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.
